Friends of Kannur Kuwait Expat’s Association (FOKE) celebrated its 8th anniversary “Kannur Maholsavam “on 29th November Friday at Ahmadi Delhi Public School. The grand Celebration was inaugurated by Sri Subhashish Goldar, Deputy Chief of Mission, Indian Embassy Kuwait by lighting the traditional lamp. FOKE President Omanakuttan. General Secretary Shymesh and Program . Gen. Convener Jithesh MP Spoke on the occasion. FOKE also felicitated prominent dance master from Kannur Sri N V Krishnan Master during the event.
FOKE felicitated member's children who secured highest marks in CBSE exams. FOKE Tug-of-War team members also felicitated during the celebration.
FOKE declared 6th Golden FOKE award to prominent musician from Kannur late Sri Raghavan Master posthumously.
Various cultural Activities presented by FOKE members and guest artist attracted the crowd. Presenting Theyyam , the traditional art form of Kannur, first of its kind in Kuwait was a different experience for the viewers. Many of them had a nostalgic feeling as they miss out such experience being away from their home.
Mr. Hamsa Payyannur, Chris Suryakanth, Dinil Kurian, FOKE Patron IV Dinesh, Ladies wing convener Adv Vidya Sumod, FOKE Balavedi Convener Shyamjith Manoj etc spoke on the occasion.
The main attraction of the function was the Orchestra lead by Famous play back singer GayatriAshok and Roshan.
